A Chandlers Little book of Secrets
THE ESSENTIAL JOURNAL FOR ALL CANDLE MAKERS
Includes
Collections: Accessories, All products
Category: book, candle making, journal
I'm so pleased with this purchase. The journal has absolutely everything I needed in it. I love the amount of candle testing pages it has. So handy having all information in the one spot and I can carry it around and refer to it any time. Exactly what I need for my lifestyle.
I'm yet to get into it, as I'm new I'm nervous and finding some of the guide confusing but it most likely is just about needing to get familiar with the terms.
The Perfected Chandler - Candle Making Journal/Guide
All my notes and info combined in one book.
This book is really meant for testing only as it is the main feature in the book , I would have liked to see a few hints and instructions.
The notes section is too small. Overall very good for testing.
I purchased this item last week having come across the recommendation that it was a journal suited for experienced chandlers. As I was keen to collate all of my information in one place, I bought it for a total cost of about 70 bucks which included postage. Quite expensive.
First up, I have to state the obvious: this is not a candle making guide.
It is, however, a beautifully bound in a spiral coiled book with tabulated sections so it certainly is an impressive item.
However, it is essentially a journal - a book where you record all your information pertaining to your candlemaking venture.
The book is divided into sections which the makers list on their site. However, the majority of these sections are quite small with the only large section being Test Sheets to which a whopping 200 pages is devoted. Just template after template. The wick guides and tables are gleaned from the internet and despite this being touted as a guide for both beginners and experienced chandlers alike, I would definitely state there is no instruction in this book, that you fill in all the blanks yourself and that I'd recommend it for beginners only.
