Reed diffuser sticks in fibre and rattan

The reeds do the work. They draw fragrance up out of the bottle and release it into the room, so the reed you choose changes how strong your diffuser smells and how long it lasts. Fibre and rattan, in four lengths, from $7.70.

Fibre or rattan?

• Fibre reeds are synthetic, with a consistent internal structure. They throw fragrance harder and more evenly, and they do not clog the way natural reeds can. Best for a strong, reliable throw.
• Rattan reeds are natural, with a warmer look and a softer, slower release. Best when you want a subtler scent or a more organic finish on the shelf.

Matching length to bottle

As a rule, reeds should sit roughly twice the height of the bottle so they have enough length above the neck to release scent. We stock 15cm, 20cm, 25cm and 30cm. Our 15cm reeds suit car diffusers and small vessels, 20cm and 25cm suit our 100ml and 200ml glassware, and 30cm gives a taller, more dramatic look on a 200ml bottle.

Colour

Natural, white and black across the range, plus red and green for seasonal collections. Black reeds in a matte black bottle look considered. Natural reeds soften a clear or amber bottle.

How many reeds

More reeds means a stronger throw and a faster burn through the liquid. Start with six to eight in a 200ml bottle and let your customers add or remove to suit the room. There is more on this in the Diffuser Guide.
